GeoIdentity worked with a large utility client to develop a GIS-centric data hub integrating asset work order, condition, inventory and customer information available to the organization via ArcGIS Online-based desktop and mobile applications. Dynamically used internal as well as external data sources including the use of local government source of truth parcel information to enable spatial mapping of customer locations and validation of customer addresses, NOAA rain gauge data, and Department of Transportation capital projects locations to support utility capital planning and daily operations, Call Miss Utility information to spatially map Miss Utility service requests, and local county jurisdictional boundaries.
The GIS Data Hub dramatically improved information accessibility from the office and field resulting in a reduction in operations budgets across all utility verticals and improvement in customer satisfaction due to improved service request response time.
